Officially completed my first annual round of Summer karma classes for Feeding San Diego! We raised over 4,000 meals for the hungry!!!
Each week more yogis came out to support the cause and give back. At 6pm each week the bay was glimmering and smiles were shining ear to ear. There is something unique and special practicing by the water. I felt a full heart full of gratitude each time set my intention. I would have to say my favorite classes were when people walking around in the park would join in. After class they told me they had never taken a yoga class before and would be coming back! It felt so good to raise awareness for @feedingsandiego and also draw people to practice.
I was so blown away at all the support from friends and new friends made along the way during this journey. I would get home and found more posts and supportive feedback from everyone each week. It's the light that kept me going knowing that I was making a difference-even just a little bit. I love hearing feedback about my classes and appreciate all the time that people cut out in their busy schedule to come out.
There is something refreshing teaching a class outside. The feeling of grass beneath your feet, the crisp summer air on your skin, the glimmer of the bay ahead of you, the birds chirping and kids by the beach bonfires; every sense filled.
Have you guys heard of @DTO? I felt honored to have the talented musical guest DTO perform at one of my classes! He is an award-winning producer and is first on my Spotify playlists! Bringing the guitar and other musical instruments made this class magical. I am looking forward to inviting him again for 2018 Summer classes! Can you say - RAINSTICK magic?! Thank you to everyone for coming out!
Much love and Namaste,
